Strong Foundations, Lifelong Learning

Foundational Learning, Inspired by NEP 2020

Vision

The early years are the most important stage in a child’s development. At SKKES, our vision is to give every child a strong academic foundation, a curious mind, and a joyful attitude towards learning, ensuring they are ready for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Our Approach
  • Joyful Classrooms – A safe, happy, and welcoming space where children feel excited to come every day.
  • Learning Through Experience – Hands-on activities, storytelling, music, movement, and games help children learn naturally.
  • Balanced Development – Equal focus on academics, creativity, physical fitness, social skills, and emotional well-being.
  • Language-Rich Environment – Strong foundation in English and Hindi with exposure to rich vocabulary through conversations, rhymes, and reading.
  • Early Life Skills – Encouraging problem-solving, decision-making, and self-help habits from the beginning.
Teaching–Learning Strategies
  • Theme-Based Learning – Lessons are linked to meaningful themes so children can connect concepts with real life.
  • Multi-Sensory Activities – Combining sight, sound, touch, and movement to make concepts easy to understand and remember.
  • Exploration & Discovery – Children are encouraged to ask questions, try new ideas, and find solutions through guided activities.
  • Creative Expression – Art, craft, drama, and music form an integral part of the curriculum to boost imagination and confidence.
  • Karadi Path Programme – Innovative language learning approach that builds listening, speaking, reading, and comprehension skills through stories, music, and activities.
  • Helen O’Grady International Programme – A structured drama and communication skills programme that enhances confidence, creativity, public speaking, and social interaction in children.
Value Education

We believe that values learned in early years shape a lifetime. Through daily routines, stories, and role-modelling, we nurture qualities like kindness, respect, honesty, and teamwork in our students.

Parental Partnership
  • We work hand-in-hand with parents to ensure every child thrives.
Monthly Planners – Sharing upcoming lessons and activities so parents can support learning at home.
  • Open Communication – Regular updates and parent-teacher meetings to discuss progress and goals.
  • Involvement in Events – Opportunities for parents to participate in school activities and celebrations.
Evaluation & Assessment
  • Continuous Observation – Tracking each child’s growth in academics, behaviour, and skills without the pressure of formal exams.
  • Constructive Feedback – Celebrating strengths while guiding areas of improvement.
  • Individual Focus – Recognising that every child learns at their own pace and supporting them accordingly.

Karadi Path Program

Our school has taken a pioneering step by introducing the Karadi Path program right from the pre-primary level.

This thoughtfully structured initiative is aimed at nurturing young minds and laying a strong foundation for language development and communication skills.

The Karadi Path program focuses on developing the following key skills in children:

  • Sharpened listening abilities
  • Clear and expressive speech
  • Intuitive use of correct grammar and punctuation
  • A love for reading with eagerness and enthusiasm

What makes this program even more special is its integration of Indian culture, folklore, and storytelling— making learning both meaningful and deeply connected to our heritage. By incorporating Karadi Path into our curriculum, we are empowering our students with the tools they need for future academic success and instilling in them a lifelong love for learning.
