Grades 6,7,8, Age group 12 years to 14 years

This is the age of gradual and sudden changes in physical development with adolescence on the cards. Teachers are prepared for handling growth spurts and growth pains with changes in strength and growing restlessness in their students.

There are sessions conducted for adult education programme so that students know everything about their physical mental and emotional wellbeing. The students are encouraged to independently practice their learning despite the resistance that they may come up.

The pedagogies are well defined. Students are engaged through discussions and reflections. Curricular goals are predefined and the teaching learning process is competency based.

This stage often demonstrates most accelerated learning, individual learning and individual creativity begins to show sharply in distinction to others. Abstract thinking is developed and children formulate innovative ideas.

Students are given an opportunity to solve higher order questions. Summative assessments at the end are based on competencies defined in the learning standards.
